You have described the situation admirably [1]. Talked to the Ephy
maintainer in #epiphany this morning and he said basically the same
thing (because those functions are not currently accessible from
python). He said it would be easy to add it to the Epiphany API. I'm
guessing that means he wants a patch, but I haven't gotten around to
looking at it yet. ;-)
To work best with the current version of Epiphany, this extension just
might need to be rewritten in C. :-(
