[tomboy-list] Yank or keep tags for GNOME 2.20 (Tomboy 0.8)?

Hey everyone,
I've been thinking (and maybe that's not a good thing), that we may
want to consider not including tasks for Tomboy 0.8.0. As you may/may
not know, feature freeze is rapidly approaching (July 30th). String
freeze is four weeks later, followed soon with hard freeze.
My concern is that the UI for tags, especially in the search all notes
window, is really not that good and pretty clunky. I'd hate to see a
released version of Tomboy look like that. Anyone else feel the same
way? I am going to be on vacation next week (won't even haver
Internet access...joyful) and a big chunk of August as well, so I
don't feel like I will have the time to tidy up the tags properly.
Anyone else up for hacking together a better UI in a super fast timeframe?
Some options I guess we have:
#1: Leave it as is, yuck
#2: A superstar comes in and makes the tagging UI rock (remember we're
in string and ui change announce period now)
#3: I pull some late nights in August sometime and come up with something
#4: We modify tags to be a Tomboy Addin that's disabled by default and
add it into the "Experimental" category
#5: We comment-out tags entirely for 0.8 and have them be a big strong
feature of 0.10
Ideas, suggestions, volunteers?
Cheers!
-Boyd
