[tomboy-list] Yank or keep tags for GNOME 2.20 (Tomboy 0.8)?

I posted somewhere here that I, for one, think that a tagging feature is
completely useless unless looking data up is performed by an AND sort of
query, where selecting more tags narrows the search. Otherwise, it may as
well be a bunch of regular folders listed in one place! (Besides, an OR
query is not the expected behaviour with a tagging system). Thus, that
should definitely be addressed :)
I think that is the only really major problem with the tag searching.

Actually applying tags could be a bit prettier as well, though. Have to
admit I haven't used Tomboy in a while (installed Ubuntu Gutsy on the
machine that hosts my Tomboy notes, somehow killed d-bus, which slaughtered
the Gnome config daemon and somehow also caused it to not load any services
when logging in). Looking at it really quickly right now on the other
machine, I think the tagging UI within the notes themselves is rather
imperfect.
(Random thing: Hovering over tags sometimes causes them to go down to the
next line because of that addition of a Remove stock icon, which creates a
really ugly flickering problem. Bother!)
The applied tags in this view are spaced weirdly. (Or, rather, not
consistently spaced at all!). I think it should be either a vertical list,
or a text box. Check out how the Epiphany web browser does its bookmark
tagging. I think that interface, with the one text box and the box expanding
from it, works really well. (No need for a mashup of buttons for each tag).
Then again, removing tags from that is a bit different. I never erase the
text, but instead uncheck the necessary items in the below combo box, and an
interface that big would not really fit Tomboy... (Maybe the current input
method, with tags appearing as buttons and the one text box, is ideal.
Still, I think those buttons could be spaced more pleasantly).

Bye,
