Maybe instead of adding markup to the note, e-d-s could be used as a
store with the task list attribute set to the title of the note it's
attached to and then add individual tasks to it.  Then the check boxes
would be generated dynamically from e-d-s and inserted into the note.
Listeners on the check boxes could then update the status in e-d-s.
