hi folks,
i'm having lots of trouble with the sshfs sync feature, sometimes the
"fuse: mountpoint is not empy" error described here:
and sometimes a less obvious failure. neither of the fixes in the bug
report work for me. (fusermount -u ~/.tomboy/sync-sshfs, and
rm -f ~/.tomboy/sync-sshfs/lock ). While it'd be great to figure out
what's going wrong ( & i'd be happy to help with that), for now i
figured i'd just try to sync via unison. so i am thinking a simple
script like :
killall Tomboy.exe
unison tomboy-profile
tomboy &
but i notice when i look at tomboy instances started by gnome-panel, i
notice there's lots more information on them:
> mono /usr/lib/tomboy/Tomboy.exe --panel-applet --oaf-activate-iid=OAFIID:TomboyApplet_Factory --oaf-ior-fd=48
so i'm wondering: isthere a preferred way of starting and stopping
tomboy which will preserve whatever data is included in these cryptic
switches? if so i'd love to know more. anyway thanks as always for
this excellent program, which has actually become pretty much my main
productivity application in recent weeks!
