[tomboy-list] OAFIID:TomboyApplet

The log should be a text file that you can open in any text editor,
but I am not able to open yours.  This was the file you found at
"~/.tomboy.log" ?

Are you using GNOME?  Do you have a status area of your panel that
shows the clock, volume, network status, etc?  That is another place
that you are able to load Tomboy (that is what happens when you launch
Tomboy from the applications menu).  You could try that approach to
work around these problems.
