Either way, it has to be edited to become meaningful.  A timestamp is
better than an ID number, of course.

However, please use a sound and universal timestamp format.  ISO 8601 is
the way to go, like in `Note from YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM'.  Dates of the form
AA/BB/CC are an irritating plague, too often ambiguous to be any useful.
