It just hasn't been a priority.  I'd first like to work on customizing
the existing colors in Tomboy, but an add-in that lets the user
specify arbitrary font color (foreground and background) would be
useful to folks, I'm sure.

I don't think that's a big enough project to take an entire summer.

And to be totally honest, I'm not going to have time to mentor any
Tomboy students this summer, unless they happen to be Telepathy
experts and already have a full-blown plan for note sharing, and need
minimal mentoring.

So, as a GNOME SoC Admin, and the lead developer of Tomboy, I'd
recommend you look at another GNOME project to contribute to for this
year's Summer of Code.

Of course, if you want to work on this feature for Tomboy outside of
the context of SoC, I'd be happy to help with any questions you might
have.  It's just that with a baby on the way, I can't commit to being
available all summer.
