DropBox is actually a real server-based sync...

distro...). One of Tomboy's major advantages is that it runs also on Windows
and OS X, and I guess
that most of its power users (= typically those who use syncing) have more
than one platform.
I will continue to test Tomboy with syncing over "Local Folder" to a DropBox
folder and will keep
you informed about its stability.
