With the major drawback that it currently only runs under Linux (if not only
the Ubuntu
distro...). One of Tomboy's major advantages is that it runs also on Windows
and OS X, and I guess
that most of its power users (= typically those who use syncing) have more
than one platform.

I will continue to test Tomboy with syncing over "Local Folder" to a DropBox
folder and will keep
you informed about its stability.
