[tomboy-list] Three questions--Copying, Opening, and Anchoring in Tomboy Notes

Hi,

            My name is
Brianna, and I have a few questions about Tomboy Notes, and I don’t know who I
can turn to for help about them. I hope
this is the right way to do so.

            The first
two are the most important, I think.

First,

            I’m doing a
large project that will involve over 100 notes all linked together. I’m almost finished with it, but I realize
now that I want to try organizing it in a different way. So what I need to do is make two copies of
what I have now, so I can keep a backup of what I’ve already done. That way, I can move ahead and rearrange
everything without having to worry about having to undo everything that I’ve
done if I want to go back to the way I’ve done it. Some of the titles I have now are the same
ones I want to use for the new one, so I don’t want to have to go through
copying, pasting, and trying to rename each of the notes one-by-one. It would take hours. Is there any way I can quickly get a copy of
the notebook I have now so I can mess with the copy and keep the original the
way it is as a backup?

Second,

            Possibly
related to the first. I simply cannot
open anything with Tomboy notes. That
includes add-ins that I download, notes that I save onto my computer and try to
open with the notes again, etc. When I
download an add-in and try to open it with Tomboy notes, Tomboy notes opens,
but it gives no indication that anything was added to it. I haven’t been able to get any add-ins or
anything. Perhaps this is part of the
reason why I’m having trouble with the first part? But perhaps not….

Third,

            I was
wondering if there was a way to create anchor points within a note. So if you click on a link, it doesn’t just
bring you to the top of the note, but to a certain place inside the note. Any thoughts?

            Please let
me know if you have any ideas about this.
I’m not at all good with code, so if it comes to that, I’d need some
serious walking-through!

            I hope I
came to the right place to ask…I couldn’t find online forums or other places I
could contact experts.

            Thank you
so much.

            Sincerely,

            Brianna
