[tomboy-list] Sync. issue (win/linux, dropbox)

I work with an Ubuntu netbook and a Windows XP laptop, and have tomboy 
on both.  I sync using Dropbox (Local folder).  The windows laptop is 
often connected to a VPN through which I have no outside network access 
(cannot sync Dropbox/notes while connected).  When I create notes on the 
Windows machine while connected to the VPN, they often get erased after 
syncing.  I last experienced the issue this morning, after creating 3 
new notes from info I gathered while on VPN.  A little while after 
disconnecting the VPN, I checked my notes on the linux machine to see if 
they were there.  They were not, so I ran the sync on both computers, 
and nothing was done.  Then I checked the taskbar in Windows and noticed 
that all 3 of the notes had disappeared.  I have opened tomboy on both 
machines and the notes are not there.

I am using 1.5.2 on Linux and 1.4.2 on Windows, so I probably should go 
ahead and upgrade on Windows.

Anyone know how this might be happening?
