Just doing this alone should put the Tomboy icon in your notification area.

You should either start Tomboy through the menu like above, or
right-click and add to panel. Do not do both.

The Tomboy icon should *always* be in Evolution's Memo area, because
as I said they copied our icon. It being there has absolutely nothing
to do with Tomboy's notes.

Try this:
1) remove the Tomboy icon from your panel
2) Open a terminal and run these commands:
3) killall tomboy
4) tomboy --debug
If Tomboy still doesn't seem to start normally, copy the output from
running `tomboy --debug` and paste it in a reply to this thread, and
we'll take it from there.
