[tomboy-list] Getting rid of the status icon

Hi,

I've been following Tomboy's development and I'd like to know how developers
intend to adapt it to the Gnome3 workflow. More specifically, I'd like to
know if there are any plans to remove its status icon from the notification
area, which has now been renamed to message tray to better convey the idea
that it's not the right place to status icons.

The obvious way to remove the need for a status icon would be to use jump
lists, as seen here<http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2011/03/zeitgeist-powered-jump-lists-in-gnome-shell/>.
The recent notes list and extra items such as "search in all notes" or
"create a new note" could be easily placed on a pop-up menu that would
appear when clicking the Application menu or when right-clicking the Tomboy
launcher, which would also have the advantage that it could be used even
without launching the app first.

Is this something that has been discussed already?
