This is your guys' call of course, but I can tell you that it has
always been a pain in the ass for me to maintain the autotools build,
the MonoDevelop solution, the Windows solution and project files, and
the Mac solution and project files. Adding more solutions/projects is
pretty much the opposite of what I would want to be doing as a
maintainer...it just adds a bunch of work and results in broken builds
when you add files and forget to update everything correctly.
