Thanks! I kept the gtk as is and explorered Tomboy
     1.7.2: installs, runs, offers local/TomboyServer for synchronization
     1.9.4: installs, runs, offers local/TomboyServer for synchronization
     1.8.3: installs, runs, offers NO service for synchronization

So as I intended to run it against UbuntuOne (sorry, I missed that in my 
original email!), I am wondering how I can get support for 
UbuntuOne-Sync installed. I didn't find a add-in for that.
